Find Connection and Learn with Other Caregivers
Parenting comes with unique challenges, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. At Sankofa Behavioral Health, our parent guidance and support groups provide a safe space for parents and caregivers to connect with others who share similar experiences.
These sessions are designed to help caregivers share their stories without judgment and learn practical skills that can positively impact their relationships with their child(ren).
Why Join a Parent Support Group?
Our parent guidance and support groups offer a wide range of benefits, including:
Behavioral strategies to support your child’s development
Stress management techniques for balancing caregiving responsibilities
A sense of empowerment through shared experiences
Emotional support by connecting with other caregivers
Opportunities to build community and foster meaningful relationships
Individualized Parent Coaching
In addition to group sessions, we offer one-on-one parent coaching for caregivers seeking personalized guidance. Our goal is to share our expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support your family’s goals and promote your child’s independence and learning.
What Individualized Parent Coaching Includes:
Training for all caregivers (parents, grandparents, childcare personnel, etc.) to ensure a whole-family approach
Customized behavior intervention strategies for children with or without medical diagnoses (e.g., ADHD, cerebral palsy, etc.)
Coaching tailored for your unique needs using Behavior Skills Training (BST) to ensure accurate implementation of strategies
